Writing. It is one of those passions that I loved doing when I was younger. I do not know if it was the angst of teenagedom or the disaffected fantasies of a shy boy who was too spoiled for his own good, but I wrote. I wrote a lot. I loved to write. I want to write more now, but sometimes I feel that my passion for writing is stronger than my will to write.
Taco. What does the word “taco” mean? I break down what a taco is technically. This is not a listing of favorite taquerias or an entry with recipes to make great tacos. This is a little scenic route through the land of language. So, take this overly analytical journey with me if only just to show you how my brain works. Even if it is just discussing one word–a delicious word, I might add–I always tend to overdo the discussion.
On December 22, 2013, we closed Guys and Dolls at The Playhouse. This is the fourth back-to-back show I do in the San Antonio community theaters, after In the Heights, Monty Python’s Spamalot, and The Rocky Horror Show. (My dance partner-in-crime, with whom I have done those four shows, is the incomparable Courtnie Mercer.)
